Job summary

Coherent Corp. Philippines is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service semiconductor manufacturing equipment on site in Cavite/ Rosario.

You will perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot electro‑mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and assist in installation and commissioning. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical engineering with at least 3 years of semiconductor experience, and can read schematics,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical with 3+ years in semiconductors.
• Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on semiconductor equipment.
• Troubleshoot electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
• Set up, calibrate, and align equipment per specifications.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage.
• Follow EHS and cleanroom protocols including handling of chemicals and tools.
• Coordinate with engineers and production to ensure equipment readiness and yield.
• Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability upgrades.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime.
• Conduct equipment set-up, calibration, and alignment according to operational specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts usage.
• Follow EHS and cleanroom protocols, including proper handling of chemicals and tools.
• Coordinate with engineers and production teams to ensure equipment readiness and yield performance.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest reliability upgrades.

Education & Experience

• A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or its equivalents with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in a semiconductor environment.
  

Skills

• Proficient in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and PLC-based systems
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals
• Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
• Familiarity with cleanroom standards and safety protocols
