Job summary

Coherent Philippines Pte Ltd is seeking a hands-on engineering professional to support assembly, setup and qualification of machines and stations. You will troubleshoot malfunctions, assist in installation of equipment, and maintain comprehensive documentation to ensure smooth production operations.

You will collaborate with Equipment Engineers on hardware/software improvements, read schematics, and work with common interfaces (GPIB, RS232, USB). Proficiency in OO programming is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with assembly/test/automated stations in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Proficient with MS Office and documentation control processes.

Responsibilities

Job description

• Troubleshoot and resolve machine and station malfunctions and issues to minimize downtime.
• Assist in buy-off and installation of machine, equipment, fixtures and peripherals.
• Support generation and maintenance of relevant machine and station documentation.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and support station upkeep of machines and stations as per document.
• Support Equipment Engineers in design and development of new stations (hardware and software) and implementation of machine and station improvements.
• Operational experience with assembly/test/automated stations and equipment used in stated manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming language (C/C++, Visual Basic, LabView, etc.) and equipment communication interfaces (GPIB, RS232, USB, etc.).
• Able to read and interpret schematic and wiring drawing and diagrams.
• Computer software literate (MS office software, statistical software, simulation tools, MES, ERP, documentation control, etc).
