As the EMG Manager, you will take full ownership of the Company's Equipment Management Group. You will provide strategic and hands-on leadership over heavy equipment fleets, batching plant operations, workshops, and maintenance programs - ensuring every project receives the right asset at the right time, in the right condition, and at the most economical cost.
Fleet & Plant Leadership: Oversee the efficient planning, deployment, control, utilization, and maintenance of heavy construction equipment and batching plants nationwide.
Team Management: Guide and mentor Motorpool Supervisors, Equipment Superintendents, and Preventive Maintenance teams while collaborating closely with Project Managers.
Financial Stewardship: Manage the department budget, control labor and maintenance costs, optimize operating expenses, and conduct sound lifecycle/ROI analyses.
Asset Lifecycle Management: Evaluate operational performance and make decisive recommendations for equipment acquisition, rehabilitation, replacement, or disposal.
Education & License: Must be a Licensed Mechanical Engineer.
At least 15 years of progressive experience in heavy equipment management within the construction industry.
Minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership or managerial capacity.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience with equipment diagnostics, preventive/corrective maintenance, and lifecycle management for excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, dump trucks, cranes, batching plants, asphalt equipment, rollers, generators, and compressors.
Skills: Proficient in MS Office and computerized maintenance/fleet management systems (CMMS). Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
