Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management in the Philippines seeks a seasoned Licensed Civil Engineer to oversee construction projects, manage field operations, and lead project teams to deliver results on time and within budget.

The successful leader will coordinate with engineers, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors, ensure safety and quality, review plans and BOQ, and provide clear progress reporting across multiple fronts.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Professional License as Civil Engineer.
• In excellent physical condition for field management.
• 10–15 years of construction operations experience.
• Preference for horizontal construction (roads, bridges, infrastructure).

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects (manpower, equipment, materials, schedules, and costs).
• Lead and coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Manage multiple projects and concurrent work fronts, ensuring alignment with plans, specs, and safety standards.
• Strengthen site documentation, monitor project progress, and ensure accountable reporting.
• Evaluate site issues practically and implement swift, effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations of assigned construction projects (manpower, equipment, materials, schedules, and costs).
• Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Supervisors, Foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Project Control: Manage multiple projects and concurrent work fronts, ensuring alignment with approved plans, technical specifications, and safety standards.
• Documentation & Reporting: Strengthen site documentation, monitor project progress, and ensure accountability through clear project reporting.
• Problem Solving: Evaluate site issues practically and implement swift, effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Professional License: Must be a Licensed Civil Engineer.
• Physical Fitness: Must be in excellent physical condition for field management.

Experience

• 10 to 15 years of extensive experience in construction operations.
• Strong preference for horizontal construction (roads, bridges, infrastructure, site development, land development).
• Experience or exposure to vertical construction (buildings, structural/architectural works, finishes, MEPF coordination) is a strong advantage.

Skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight cost and schedule targets.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and stakeholder coordination skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management/digital reporting tools.
• Familiar with project documents (BOQ, contracts, technical specs, variation orders, daily reports).
