Job summary

A leading semiconductor company based in the Philippines seeks a Process Sustaining Engineer to provide technical and engineering support in manufacturing. The role involves recommending process modifications, conducting statistical analyses, and ensuring compatibility between product designs and processes. Ideal candidates should hold a degree in Mechanical, Electronics & Communications, or Chemical Engineering with at least 1 year of relevant experience in molding processes. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate across functions to meet organizational goals.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in BS in Mechanical or Electronics & Communications or Chemical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in molding process.
  • Working knowledge of specialized field and problem analysis tools.
  • Understanding EMC material characteristics and 5Ms interaction.
  • Ability to analyze problems and prioritize solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Create, analyze, and review technical charts.
  • Develop and modify process formulations to meet standards.
  • Establish SOPs, FMEAs, and Control Plans.
  • Integrate equipment and material capabilities with specifications.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement Plans for better performance.
  • Drive CIP to improve process performance indices.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to deliver organizational goals.
  • Adhere to safety and EH&S requirements and support related initiatives.
  • Engage in other projects as needed and contribute as a technical team member.

Overview

Job Description: Process Sustaining Engineer: Provides technical and sustaining engineering support in a manufacturing area. Recommends and implements equipment and process modifications to improve production efficiencies, manufacturing techniques and production yields for existing products. Develops and conducts statistical analysis such as Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC) targeting physical causes of failure for yield loss and improving quality. Interacts with product design and development personnel to ensure that processes and designs are compatible. Documents Process, Equipment's & Malt's Qualifications prior implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Create, analyze, and review technical charts.
  • Develop and modify process formulations, methods, and controls to meet quality standards.
  • Establish SOP (Standard operating process), FMEA (Failure mode and effects analysis), and Control Plan for related process.
  • Review product development requirements for compatibility with processing methods to determine costs and schedules.
  • Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module and technology specifications.
  • Drive CIP (Continuous improvement plans) to improve process performance indices.
  • Work with cross functions teams to deliver organizational goals.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.
  • Work and collaborate on other projects and/or assignments as needed.
  • Shows mastery of some aspects of a technical discipline, with recognition for his/her contributions as a technical team member.
  • Initiative and creativity are exercised within limits defined by job scope.
  • Uses standard engineering methods to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Works on projects, assignments, and problems of moderate scope.
Qualifications
  • Education
  • Must be either graduate in the field of BS in Mechanical or Electronics & Communications or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience
  • At least +1 years of experience in molding process.
  • Skills and Knowledge Requirement
  • Technical Expertise: Requires working knowledge of most major areas of specialized field and a work history demonstrating successful application of problem analysis tools, techniques/methodologies for effective problem identification/prioritization and resolution.
  • Good understanding on the EMC Material characteristics and its interaction with the Process 5Ms (Man, Method, Machine, Milieu) and EMC material characteristics including Adhesion to diff interfaces, Viscosity-Time Curve, etc.
  • Problem Analysis: Develops solutions to problems which have been clearly defined and have similar precedents available. Participates in a team to solve process problems/issues.
  • Decision Making: Makes decisions or provides recommendations related to specific tasks. Major or unusual issues require referral to a supervisor, manager or higher-level technical staff.
  • Planning: Requires planning for effective execution of multiple, simultaneous tasks with scheduling of independent activities, resources or time schedules.
