Job summary

A leading semiconductor company located in Cavite, Philippines is seeking a skilled professional for the Equipment Engineer role. The candidate will be responsible for setting up new equipment, enhancing overall efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement in operations. A minimum of 2 years of experience in Equipment Engineering or Maintenance is required, along with a degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Mechanical technology. This position also demands a good understanding of automated test handlers and statistical process control.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years direct experience in Maintenance or Equipment Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide analyses and modifications for continuous improvement in equipment utilization.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers for changes and modifications.
• Perform analyses on visual/mechanical rejects.
• Set up equipment and train technicians and operators.
• Generate and maintain operating specifications and reports.

Skills

Knowledge of automated test handler

Knowledge of statistical process control

Problem solving methodologies

Education

• Provide analyses and modification of equipment, which will lead to continuous improvement in machine utilization, efficiency, losses and quality.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers changes and modification for institutionalization.
• Performs analyses on visual/mechanical rejects.
• Set up equipment and train technicians and operators on its operations and functions.
• Generate/establish/write operating specifications.
• Generate and maintain reports and records.

Qualifications

• Education
  • Graduate of 5 year Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical technology course or equivalent
• Experience
  • At least 2 years direct experience in Maintenance or Equipment Engineering
• Skills
  • Preferably knowledgeable in automated test handler, testers and tape and reel equipment
  • Knowledgeable on statistical process control and problem solving methodologies
