Job summary

Dempsey Resource Management Inc. is seeking a dynamic Associate, Legal General focused on material compliance.

The role involves collecting and validating supplier material data, interpreting MSDS and engineering drawings, and producing comprehensive material declarations. You will collaborate across product development, design, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams to resolve compliance issues and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Materials Engineering required.
• Fresh graduates or 1-2 years experience in material compliance preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and material data sheets.
• Basic programming background; able to create macros on Google Apps Script.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and manage regular data collection campaigns to gather material data from suppliers.
• Analyze data and validate supplier-submitted information for compliance.
• Interpret material safety data sheets and engineering drawings to support restricted substances analysis.
• Review drawings and material specs to create full material declarations with breakdowns.
• Design environmental compliance trackers and dashboards to report KPIs and improvements.
• Implement process improvements to ensure ongoing regulatory compliance.
