Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking an Environment, Health, and Safety Officer to lead the EHS program for the facility in Canlubang, Laguna. You will drive the Environmental and Safety Management System, ensure legal compliance, and coordinate emergency readiness.

The role focuses on maintaining regulatory permits, executing site audits, and advancing plant safety through training and improvements to procedures and controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or engineering (preferably chemical or mechanical).
• Minimum 5 years in environment, health and safety or similar roles.
• Licensed Engineer or Chemist preferred.
• Certified Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and/or Safety Officer (SO) preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 or ISO 14001 standards.
• Willingness to work in Canlubang, Laguna.

Responsibilities

• Ensures effective implementation of Environmental and Safety Management System and procedures.
• Facilitates submission of legal reports and renewal of permits.
• Develops, implements and tests emergency preparedness and response procedures.
• Identifies and recommends process and system improvements for plant operations.
• Conducts site assessments and compliance audits in the commissary facility.
• Institutes EHS training system and personnel awareness activities.

The Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) Officer is responsible for providing plans and direction to the organization in terms of Environment, Health and Safety and improve the environmental and safety performance of the plant.

• Ensures the effective implementation of Environmental and Safety Management System and procedures.
• Facilitates the submission of legal reports and renewal of all permits applicable to the operation of the company.
• Develops, implements, and regularly tests emergency preparedness and response procedures.
• Identifies and recommends process and system improvements to enhance plant operations.
• Conducts site assessments and compliance audits within the commissary facility.
• Institute EHS Training system and personnel awareness activities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree holder in Chemistry or any Engineering course (preferably Chemical or Mechanical)
• At least five (5) years of work experience in the field of environment, health, and safety or similar equivalent roles
• Preferably a Licensed Engineer or Chemist
• Certified Pollution Control Officer (PCO) and/or Safety Officer (SO) preferred
• Knowledgeable in ISO 45001 or 14001
• Candidate must be willing to work in Canlubang, Laguna
