Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. seeks a Technician I to provide technical and operational support for assembly and testing of test hardware in engineering and production environments.

You will assist PCB assembly activities, material handling, documentation, and general admin tasks to ensure efficient test support operations. Responsibilities include material movement, manual soldering of PCBs, BOM reviews, part-number checks, and handling obsolescence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of at least a 2-year technology course in electronics or related fields.
• Experience in PCB assembly or electronics is preferred; fresh graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Move materials from warehouse to lab for stocking.
• Solder PCBs and test hardware manually.
• Review and manage BOM and part numbers.
• Check part numbers and component availability; request purchases as needed.
• Identify and replace obsolete components.
• Update BOM documentation and work logs for traceability.
• Basic troubleshooting of test hardware.
• Replace defective components during testing.
