Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. is seeking an experienced Electro-mechanical Technician for maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing.

You will troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and rebuild equipment across Front of Line, End of Line, or Test Assembly environments. The role requires a degree in Electronics/Electrical or Mechatronics/Instrumentation & Control, at least 5 years in a semiconductor setting, and 0–25% travel.

Qualifications

• Electronics/Electrical or Mechatronics/Instrumentation & Control tech degree
• At least 5 yrs of semiconductor experience in Front of Line, End of Line, or Test Assembly
• Male, not more than 40 yrs old
• Basic computer skills: Windows, MS Office, other software, and Basic PLC
• Travel 0% - 25%

Responsibilities

• Sustain and maintain electro-mechanical equipment, jigs, tooling, and logistics across Front of Line, End of Line, or Test Assembly.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, or mechanical issues in non-functioning equipment used in manufacturing.
• Perform PM as assigned.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair and assemble equipment per layouts, blueprints, or manuals.
• Use test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts.
• Rebuild manufacturing equipment as required.
