Job Description
The Plant Engineer (HVAC) plans and directly coordinates with the entire operations team on plant manufacturing activities, overseeing the design, construction, modification, performance, and maintenance of cold storages, walk-in freezers, blast freezers, boilers, and other equipment and machinery.
They possess extensive HVAC/R experience to manage cold storage systems, walk-in and blast freezers, boilers, water filtration, electrical systems, and general equipment maintenance. They undertake day-to-day tasks that include establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance, and they inspect plant and machinery to ensure optimum performance while directing the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment and scheduling and planning production activities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Administer and resolve all technical maintenance issues.
- Maintain an efficient and safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations and design appropriate plant maintenance programs to reduce all downtime.
- Monitor all capital improvement projects.
- Perform regular audit on all safety control programs.
- Design efficient training programs and prepare all short and long-term programs and ensure achievement of all objectives with required budget.
- Prepare reports for all client activities and ensure compliance to all state and federal laws.
- Coordinate with the Production Head for an efficient schedule for all production operations and assist in installation and maintenance of all machines and tools.
- Collaborate with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs.
- Administer all activities and assist in manufacturing of all new products and recommend improvements to existing products.
- Design all preventive maintenance programs in coordination with the Operations Team.
- Evaluate all production and maintenance activities and prepare reports for all activities and inspect all associate plant machines, equipment, boilers and cold storage.
- Analyze all equipment requirements and assist in requisition of all tools and equipment.
- Resolve all maintenance issues and recommend improvements to same if required.
- Maintain and review everyday logs and assist in resolving all issues and provide support to all engineering activities and participate in all facilities maintenance meetings.
- Review and recommend improvements of all SOP procedures and perform troubleshoot on all plant activities and resolve all issues and assist the Production Head to implement all changes.
- Validate all systems and prepare required documents for all installation proves.
- Provide an efficient interface with all automation and validation processes and provide training to all operators, engineers and mechanics.
- Provide an efficient interface with engineering department to evaluate all upcoming capital projects and analyze and obtain required feedback for all equipment and layouts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical), or equivalent.
- Experience: At least two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
