Job summary

Anonymous is seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to provide geological and geotechnical input to hydropower development, with emphasis on assessing conditions for tunnels and other underground works. You will review geological maps, borehole data, and field results to inform tunnel design and construction.

The role requires minimum 10 years of relevant experience in hydropower geology, proven tunnel conditions assessment, and strong reporting and site assessment capabilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated experience in hydropower geology.
• Proven experience in tunnel conditions assessment and underground works.
• Strong knowledge of engineering geology, investigations, and ground-risk assessment.
• Experience on hydropower or major infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related discipline.
• Strong technical reporting and field-assessment capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geological assessments for hydropower projects.
• Assess geological conditions relevant to dams, tunnels, powerhouses, waterways, and infrastructure.
• Evaluate tunnel ground conditions and potential geological risks.
• Review geological maps, site investigation data, borehole information, and geological models.
• Identify geological hazards and their potential impact on design and construction.
• Provide recommendations for tunnel alignment, support requirements, and construction considerations.
• Coordinate geological investigations and interpret field and laboratory results.
• Contribute to feasibility studies, design reviews, and technical reports.
• Support engineering teams in addressing geological uncertainties and risks.
