Okada Manila seeks an Engineer – Technical Response (BOH & Podium) to perform general maintenance and repairs across hotel rooms and assigned areas, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and equipment. The engineer will also handle related projects and safety concerns.

The role requires a civil/mechanical/electrical/architectural background with licensure, 3–5 years of supervisory or construction experience in hotel or resort settings, and strong CAD/office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Architecture with licensure.
• 3–5 years as project/site/construction engineer or hotel/building supervisor.
• Strong communication, coaching and management skills and familiarity with CAD.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering and maintenance operations of hotel, restaurant and grounds.
• Respond to engineering/maintenance concerns and safety issues.
• Plan/monitor preventive maintenance and projects as required.
• Ensure compliance with hotel maintenance procedures and safety rules.
• Collaborate with team to achieve results and efficiency.

I. BASIC PURPOSE / JOB BRIEF:

The Engineer – Technical Response (BOH & Podium Response) will be responsible primarily for general maintenance and repairs in Hotel rooms and assigned Areas. The Engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, kitchen, and equipment.

II. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

Planning / Project Control / Reports / Operations / Personnel:

• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property, restaurant and grounds
• Responds to engineering and maintenance concerns
• Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventive maintenance projects
• Responds to all building related safety concerns
• Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures

Operations:

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

Personnel:

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

III. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Architecture. Registered License Holder of this discipline, With Master's degree (advantage but not required).
  

Experience Requirement:

• 3 – 5 Years experience as a Project / Site / Construction Engineer, Hotel / Building Engineer or any Supervisory Experience in a Construction related company or Hotel, Casino & Resort experiences.
  

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent Technical knowledge in Hotel Operations and Construction related job and assigments, Including Coaching, Supervision, Staffing, Project, and Management Proficiency.
• Excellent in oral and written communication skills, CAD Software skills, Engineering Drawings, Plans and MS OFFICE Knowledge.
