Job summary

Okada Manila is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee planning and control of engineering and maintenance operations for the hotel, restaurant, and grounds. You will respond to engineering concerns, monitor preventive maintenance, ensure safety compliance, and maintain maintenance procedures.

The ideal candidate has a 3–5 year track record in hotel/building engineering or construction, with a Bachelor’s in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering or architecture, and proficiency in CAD,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, electrical engineering or architecture with registration.
• 3–5 years in project/site/construction engineering or hotel/building experience.
• Master’s degree is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees engineering and maintenance operations for the hotel, property, restaurant and grounds.
• Responds to engineering and maintenance concerns and safety issues.
• Performs and monitors preventive maintenance and ensures compliance with procedures.
• Supports coaching, supervision, staffing and project management activities.

Planning / Project Control / Reports / Operations / Personnel:

• Responsible for engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, hotel property, restaurant and grounds
• Responds to engineering and maintenance concerns
• Performs and/or monitors maintenance and preventive maintenance projects
• Responds to all building related safety concerns
• Maintains departmental compliance with hotel maintenance procedures

Operations:

• Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.

Personnel:

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

II. JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Architecture. Registered License Holder of this discipline, With Master's degree (advantage but not required).

Experience Requirement:

• 3 – 5 Years experience as a Project / Site / Construction Engineer, Hotel / Building Engineer or any Supervisory Experience in a Construction related company or Hotel, Casino & Resort experiences.

Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent Technical knowledge in Hotel Operations and Construction related job and assignments, Including Coaching, Supervision, Staffing, Project, and Management Proficiency.
• Excellent in oral and written communication skills, CAD Software skills, Engineering Drawings, Plans and MS OFFICE Knowledge.
