Job summary

First Gen Corporation is seeking a Licensed Mechanical Engineer with at least 4 years of related experience to operate, monitor, and test critical plant equipment across our decarbonization-focused energy portfolio.

You will design cost-effective improvements, oversee maintenance planning, manage supplier specifications, and ensure adherence to EHS standards while contributing to a regenerative future.

Qualifications

• Licensed Mechanical Engineer with at least 4 years related experience.
• Experience in design, maintenance planning, and procurement in power plant environments.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and test critical plant equipment and auxiliaries per SOPs.
• Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to improve safety and efficiency.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution within budget and standards.
• Manage procurement processes, including evaluating supplier proposals and defining technical specs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements through hazard analysis and planning.
• Prepare accomplishment reports, assist with budget preparation, and manage stakeholder communications.

• Operate, monitor, and test critical plant equipment and auxiliaries in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure reliability and quality.
• Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications to enhance safety, efficiency, and overall plant performance.
• Oversee maintenance planning, scheduling, and implementation, ensuring all works meet approved standards and budget constraints.
• Manage procurement processes, including evaluating supplier proposals and defining technical specifications for work scopes.
• Maintain strict compliance with legal, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements through rigorous hazard analysis and safety planning.
• Facilitate departmental administration by preparing accomplishment reports, assisting with budget preparation, and managing stakeholder communications.
