Job summary

Koko Global Hospitality (Philipines) Co., Ltd. is seeking an Engineer/Maintenance Engineer to ensure facilities, equipment and building systems are safe and well maintained on site.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot issues, manage stock and coordinate with supervisors, and respond to emergency maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Engineering license is an advantage depending on position requirements.
• Experience in hotel, resort, commercial building, or property maintenance preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs independently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, both electrical and mechanical.
• Complete daily checklists and repairs reported by KokoStar and ARM.
• Follow preventive maintenance program to keep facilities in good condition.
• Complete maintenance or improvement projects as assigned and follow the plan.
• Update and communicate with supervisor about assigned projects.
• Maintain knowledge about hotel equipment and systems including bulbs, TVs, and AC units.
• Understand safety systems of the hotel including elevators and electricity.
• Manage basic stock control of engineering supplies.
• Check spare items daily and calculate reorder quantities.
• Report to supervisor or ARM/RM about items that need ordering.

About the role

The Engineer / Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and building systems are properly maintained, safe, and in good working condition. The role involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and responding to engineering-related concerns within the property.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily engineering and maintenance operations of the hotel, both electrical and mechanical
• Complete daily checklists and daily repair jobs reported by KokoStar and ARM
• Follow the preventive maintenance program according to the schedule to ensure facilities are in good condition
• Complete maintenance or improvement projects that are assigned and follow the plan
• Update and communicate with supervisor about assigned projects
• Maintain basic knowledge about hotel equipment and systems, including specs of lightbulbs, TVs, and AC units
• Have knowledge about safety systems of the hotel including elevators and electricity
• Manage basic stock control of engineering supplies
• Daily check spare items currently available and calculate when and how much needs to be ordered
• Report to supervisor or ARM/RM about items that need to be ordered

About you

• Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical course is preferred
• Engineering license is an advantage, depending on the position requirements
• Previous experience in hotel, resort, commercial building, or property maintenance is preferred
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning, mechanical, and general building maintenance
• Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs independently
• Good problem-solving and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Willing to work on a shifting schedule, weekends, and holidays when required
• Willing to work full onsite and respond to emergency maintenance concerns when necessary
