Jeff and Jenny 88th Avenue Holdings OPC in Cebu City seeks a Lead Electrician to ensure safe, reliable operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across the hotel, restaurants, and shared facilities. The role includes leading the electrical team and coordinating with hotel departments and tenants.
Requirements: 3–5 years in electrical maintenance, a related technical degree, and preferably an RME license.
The Lead Electrician is responsible for the safe and reliable operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of the electrical systems serving 88th Avenue, including the hotel, common areas, building facilities, restaurants, retail areas, and other shared infrastructure. The Lead Electrician will also provide technical leadership to the electrical maintenance team and coordinate electrical works with hotel departments, commercial tenants, and contractors.
Inspect, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems, including switchboards, distribution panels, transformers, generators, ATS, lighting, outlets, motors, and control systems.
Carry out scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize electrical breakdowns and disruption to operations.
Respond promptly to electrical emergencies and equipment failures affecting hotel operations and building facilities.
Lead and supervise electricians and electrical technicians, including assigning daily work and checking the quality and safety of completed work.
Maintain electrical rooms, common areas, back-of-house facilities, guest areas, and other building electrical infrastructure.
Support electrical requirements for restaurants and commercial areas where the issue involves building-owned or shared electrical infrastructure.
Coordinate with commercial tenants regarding electrical issues and clearly identify whether the problem falls under the building's responsibility or the tenant's responsibility.
Coordinate and monitor electrical works performed by contractors and tenant-appointed contractors to ensure compliance with building safety requirements.
Assist with electrical fit-outs, renovations, equipment installations, testing, and commissioning.
Conduct generator and emergency power system testing and maintenance.
Graduate of Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical course.
Preferably a Registered Master Electrician (RME) or appropriately licensed/qualified electrical practitioner.
At least 3-5 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel, commercial building, mixed-use development, resort, or similar facility.
Previous experience leading or supervising electricians is preferred.
Strong knowledge of electrical distribution, generators, ATS, lighting, motors, controls, and troubleshooting.
Able to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
Good understanding of electrical safety and preventive maintenance.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Willing to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies when required.
