Job summary

PeopleStrong seeks a Civil Engineering professional to lead architectural finishing works on a major project. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise plastering, drywall, painting, flooring, ceilings, tiling, and waterproofing in line with approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

You will coordinate with design, procurement, MEP, and subcontractor teams to ensure timely completion, maintain quality, and adhere to safety standards on site.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating finishing works across plastering, drywall, painting, flooring, ceilings, tiling, and waterproofing.
• Experience ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Proven ability to coordinate with design, procurement, MEP, structural, and subcontractor teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and supervise all architectural finishing works per approved drawings and schedules.
• Monitor site activities to confirm workmanship meets quality and tolerances; conduct inspections and manage snagging.
• Promote safety through toolbox talks, PPE usage, and safe handling of heights and materials.
• Track progress against milestones and support project handover.

Job Description

Responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all architectural finishing works, including plastering, drywall, painting, flooring, ceiling systems, tiling, waterproofing, joinery, glazing, façade interfaces, and final fit-out activities in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedules. Coordinate with design, procurement, MEP, structural, and subcontractor teams to ensure seamless execution and timely completion of finishing works.

Monitor site activities to ensure workmanship meets required quality standards and project tolerances. Conduct inspections, manage mock-ups, material approvals, snagging, and defect rectification, and ensure compliance with client and consultant requirements. Maintain inspection records, progress reports, and quality documentation.

Promote a strong safety culture by conducting toolbox talks, enforcing safe work practices, ensuring proper use of PPE, and monitoring work-at-height and material handling activities. Optimize resource utilization, control material consumption, minimize wastage, and ensure good housekeeping standards.

Track progress against project milestones, identify and resolve site issues, and support successful project handover. Requires a Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering with experience in building finishes, fit-out works, quality control, safety management, project coordination, and site execution
