Job summary

COHECO BADEO CORPORATION is seeking a strategic legal counsel to provide guidance across project development, commercial operations, regulatory compliance, and contract management. You will work closely with management, project teams and stakeholders to keep hydroelectric projects and operations legally compliant and commercially sound.

You will support project execution, manage legal risks and navigate the regulatory environment in the power and renewables sector.

Qualifications

Member in good standing of the Philippine Bar with an LL.B. or JD.
5–8 years of post-qualification experience in energy, power, or regulated industries.
Proven contract drafting, review, and lifecycle management experience.
Strong regulatory compliance, governance and risk management background.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Provide legal advice on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage EPC and project contracts and related agreements.
Ensure compliance with laws and industry requirements in the energy sector.
Identify and mitigate legal, regulatory, and contractual risks across projects.
Support interpretation, administration, and dispute resolution of FIDIC contracts.
Conduct legal research and provide practical recommendations to management.
Liaise with external counsel, regulators, and stakeholders when needed.
