Job summary

Bevi is seeking a Software QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Boston. In this role you'll own quality across our full stack, validating embedded firmware on physical machines and strengthening our firmware release process.

This position requires working from our Boston office 3+ days per week. You will design and implement test strategies for embedded systems and connected devices, validate firmware on hardware, test OTA updates, and collaborate with firmware, software, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or international equivalent.
2+ years of QA or test engineering experience, ideally spanning embedded/firmware and software systems.
Hands-on experience testing embedded systems (C/C++, RTOS, serial or wireless).

Responsibilities

Monitor and test firmware and low-level software throughout the SDLC, ensuring releases meet quality standards.
Design, implement, and maintain test strategies for embedded systems and connected-device workflows.
Validate firmware behavior on physical machines and test hardware like sensors and connectivity modules.
Test OTA firmware update flows for reliability, rollback safety, and fleet-wide rollout.
Collaborate with firmware, software, and hardware engineers to resolve defects and define quality gates.
