Job summary

XP Power in Manila is seeking an efficient, flexible, meticulous and self-motivated firmware engineer. As a member of the firmware team, you will be involved in all areas of firmware development including prototyping of new concepts, development of features, unit testing, issue investigations, code maintenance, peer code review, and documentation.

You will be responsible for managing the design integration and launch of critical XP Power power conversion products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
• Proficient in C for embedded development. C++ is a plus.
• Knowledge of microcontroller and DSP architectures (8/16/32-bit) and related drivers.
• Familiar with I2C, SPI, RS-485, Ethernet and debugging equipment.
• Experience with software development life cycle processes (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum).
• Experience with Git and SVN.
• Knowledge of MISRA or coding standards is a plus.
• Good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on firmware architecture and testing strategies.
• Modify and verify existing code, perform integration and unit tests.
• Communicate design constraints and trade-offs clearly.
• Conduct system integration and validation testing for interoperability.
• Participate in all project lifecycle phases from design to release.
• Support legacy products for troubleshooting and upgrades.
• Translate customer requirements into feasible solutions with the team.
