Job summary

CHINT NEW ENERGY DEVELOPMENT PHILIPPINES INC. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to perform installation, inspection, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of plant electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operations.

The role requires a Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Technology, an NC II certificate where applicable, and 1–3 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience. Candidates must be able to read schematics and operate test equipment; willing to work

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe plant operation.
• Troubleshoot motors, controls, sensors, switches, breakers, relays and related devices.
• Install/repair wiring, conduits, panels and associated components.
• Read electrical drawings and schematics for maintenance tasks.
• Follow lockout/tagout and electrical safety procedures.
• Assist in maintenance of power distribution equipment and MCCs.

About the role

Responsible for the installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of plant electrical equipment and systems to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems involving motors, control panels, sensors, switches, breakers, contactors, relays, and other equipment.
• Install, repair, and modify electrical wiring, conduits, cable trays, panels, and related components.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspections using appropriate test instruments.
• Assist in the maintenance of generators, transformers, MCCs, switchgear, and distribution systems.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new machines and electrical equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
• Follow lockout/tagout and other electrical safety procedures.
• Report equipment defects, unsafe conditions, and required repairs to the supervisor or engineer.
• Maintain tools, equipment, spare parts, and maintenance records.

About you

• Diploma, certificate, or vocational/technical qualification in Electrical Technology or a related field.
• Relevant electrical license/certification where required.
• At least 1–3 years of industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical motors, controls, wiring, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to use electrical test equipment such as multimeters and clamp meters.
• Able to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Physically fit to perform maintenance work and work at heights where required.
• Willing to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or emergency call-outs when necessary.
• Must hold a valid NC II Certificate in Electrical Installation and Maintenance.
• Skilled in using basic electrical measuring instruments, including multimeter and insulation resistance tester.
