Job summary

Asian Terminals Incorporated (ATI) is seeking a Licensed Electrical Engineer to lead electrical and refrigeration maintenance at Manila South Harbor. The role ensures safe operations and timely preventive and corrective maintenance across critical systems.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of supervisory experience in low and medium voltage, strong knowledge of electrical codes, and proficiency with MS Office.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrical Engineer with oversight of electrical works.
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience in electrical works (Low & Medium Voltage).
• Knowledgeable in installation, repair and maintenance of electrical and refrigeration facilities; understands electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily electrical and air-con maintenance tasks.

Job description

Responsible for ensuring that all electrical, refrigeration systems and building generator sets of ATI South Harbor are maintained in safe working condition by conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on a timely basis.

Key Accountabilities

• Prepares daily assignments of electricians and air-con technicians per job order of business units and scheduled maintenance activity.
• Prepares and endorses for PMO Manager’s approval requisition of materials needed for the job orders.
• Coordinates with Business Units on the scheduled electrical & refrigeration repair and maintenance activity on their area.
• Monitors and inspects electrical and air-con jobs on a daily basis.
• Prepares specification of electrical and refrigeration materials needed for purchase.
• Prepares and endorses cost estimates of electrical and refrigeration projects for budget preparation and approval of Business Unit and PMO Manager.
• Monitors contractors in performing construction, repair and maintenance to ensure that the project is in accordance with the scope of work, approved plans, specifications and schedule.
• Inspects and accepts completed work orders and projects in conformance to the plans and specifications.
• Computes monthly electric energy consumption of ATI clients.
• Conducts monthly electrical inspection and submits inspection report.
• Prepares weekly and monthly electrical & air-con accomplishment reports.
• Directs electricians in maintaining and repairing generator sets, reefer power outlets, emergency lights, manual fire alarm system and siren.
• Prepares monthly schedule of electricians.
• Safety Related Responsibilities:
• Conducts daily tool box meeting to electricians and contractors.
• Prepares and submits safety observations on a monthly basis.
• Ensures that safety policies and practices are strictly implemented.
• Manages safety and ensures strict implementation of the Occupational Safety, Health and Environment Policy and Security Management System within areas under his/her control.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Licensed Electrical Engineer
• With 5 years of supervisory experience in electrical works (Low & Medium Voltage)
• Knowledgeable in installation, repair and maintenance of electrical and refrigeration facilities and ability to analyze and interpret electrical codes and procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office Applications: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
