Job summary

Akari Lighting & Technology Corporation in Manila is seeking a Technical Support Manager to lead the Technical Support Department, focusing on electrical systems, lighting, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is an electrical-focused technical leader with experience in MEPF systems and the ability to coordinate across engineering, sales, operations, and project teams.

You will develop support procedures, mentor the team, review technical issues, and ensure compliance with electrical codes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• REE license highly preferred.
• 5+ years in technical support, electrical engineering or building systems.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations and lighting.
• Working knowledge of MEPF systems and building services.
• Ability to read electrical plans, drawings, specs and schematics.
• Proven troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience leading or managing a technical/engineering team.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Willing to conduct site visits and field work.
• Proficient in MS Office and relevant engineering software.
• Strong leadership, decision-making and project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Technical Support Department.
• Provide technical leadership on electrical systems and lighting.
• Review and resolve complex technical issues in installations and systems.
• Offer technical consultation to internal teams, customers and project stakeholders.
• Oversee troubleshooting, testing, commissioning and issue closure.
• Review drawings, electrical plans and project documents.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Operations and others to resolve concerns.
• Develop and implement support procedures and guidelines.
• Mentor and develop the Technical Support team.
• Ensure documentation, reporting and closure of issues.
• Stay updated on new technologies and standards.
