Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer (Technical Support Supervisor) is responsible for overseeing and coordinating technical support, troubleshooting activities, and purchasing/logistics initiatives for electrical and solar/PV systems, including after-sales support, site troubleshooting, and commissioning assistance. The role ensures that all technical support and coordination activities are executed in compliance with approved procedures, engineering standards, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervisory role with direct oversight of technical support personnel and functional coordination with the purchasing/logistics function.
• Focused on execution, compliance, and technical coordination and overall project leadership.
• Supervise troubleshooters and technical support staff, ensuring coordinated execution of troubleshooting, installation support, and after-sales technical activities for electrical and solar/PV systems in accordance with approved procedures, engineering standards, and company policies.
• Plan, monitor, and validate troubleshooting and commissioning activities for electrical and solar/PV installations, including system functionality, performance issues, and interface with existing electrical infrastructure.
• Provide technical direction to the Purchasing Officer on routine and technically sensitive procurements, including:
• Review and evaluation of vendor technical compliance against approved drawings, specifications, and solar/PV system requirements
• Technical clarification of scope, performance criteria, and compatibility of electrical and PV components. Alignment with engineering standards, end-user requirements, and project schedules prior to purchase order issuance.
• Coordinate with suppliers, EPC contractors, installers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders on technical clarifications, submittals, delivery schedules, installation concerns, and quality requirements related to electrical and solar/PV systems.
• Responsible for the research, development, and continuous improvement of new and sustainable renewable energy programs, including the evaluation of emerging technologies, system performance, and long-term viability.
• Support technical project coordination, including site interface, issue tracking, punch listing, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, documentation, and status updates related to technical support activities, procurement coordination, and site performance of electrical and solar/PV systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards, including applicable electrical codes, solar/PV guidelines, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Licensed electrical engineer with 2-3 years of supervisory experience in technical support, engineering operations, or project-based environments.
• Working knowledge of electrical power systems and solar/PV installations, including inverters, protection devices, balance-of-system components, and grid-interconnection requirements.
• Experience in installation support, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical and solar/PV systems.
• Proven exposure to technical procurement support, vendor coordination, and technical compliance evaluation.
• Proficient in technical documentation, reporting, and basic project tracking tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and project teams.
