Job summary

UP Diliman is seeking an Administrative Assistant III (Electrician Foreman) to plan, install, and maintain electrical systems across campus facilities. The role requires supervision of helpers engaged in electrical construction, installation, maintenance and repair.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or vocational course completion, plus one year of relevant experience and four hours of training, with competency in integrity, professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or completion of relevant vocational/trade course.
• 1 year of relevant experience.
• Four hours of relevant training.

Responsibilities

• Plans, installs, and maintains all electrical work relating to building construction and equipment repair.
• Supervise, coordinate, and assign helpers engaged in electrical construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of power lines and electrical systems.
• Install and maintain control panels, relays, and alarm and detection devices.
• Undertake electrical works in the repair and maintenance of facilities and equipment.
• Conducts periodic inspection of all electrical fixtures, apparatus and appliances.
• Maintains appropriate maintenance records and files related to the electrical system.
• Prepare recommendations if outside repair of electrical wiring/system is needed.
• Assist with ordering and/or purchasing supply parts for the Institute/unit to maintain adequate inventory needs.
• Develop material and equipment cost estimates for building construction and/or electrical wiring/system repair.
• Maintains tools and equipment for electrical works.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate supervisor.
