Elluc Projects Philippines Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to lead planning, design, and coordination of electrical, FDAS, and low-current systems for residential, subdivision, mid-rise, high-rise, and mixed-use developments in Metro Manila.

You will prepare drawings, load calculations, panel schedules, and single-line diagrams, ensure code compliance, coordinate with architectural, structural, civil, and other teams, and support testing and commissioning.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of relevant experience in electrical systems design and coordination.
  • Experience in residential subdivisions, mass housing, commercial, mid-rise or high-rise developments preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with OBO, BFP, LGUs, and utility providers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and coordinate electrical plans for residential, subdivision, commercial, mid-rise, high-rise, and mixed-use projects.
  • Develop and review FDAS and auxiliary system designs.

Job description

The Electrical Engineer II shall be responsible for the planning, design, review, coordination, and implementation support of electrical, Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (FDAS), auxiliary, and low current systems for the company’s residential, subdivision, mid-rise, high-rise, commercial, and mixed use development projects.

The role includes the preparation and review of electrical drawings, technical specifications, load calculations, panel schedules, single-line diagrams, lighting and power layouts, grounding systems, emergency power systems, FDAS, communication systems, security systems, and other auxiliary requirements.

The Electrical Engineer shall ensure that all designs and construction works are coordinated with architectural, structural, civil, land development, plumbing, sanitary, fire protection, cost, permits, and site operations teams. All systems must be code-compliant, safe, cost-efficient, constructible, maintainable, and aligned with project requirements.

1. Electrical Design and Engineering
  • Prepare, develop, review, and coordinate electrical plans for residential, subdivision, commercial, mid-rise, high-rise, and mixed-use projects.
  • Prepare electrical load calculations, voltage-drop calculations, short-circuit calculations, and other required engineering computations.
  • Prepare and review:
    • Lighting layouts
    • Convenience and special-purpose outlet layouts
    • Power distribution layouts
    • Panel schedules
    • Single-line diagrams
    • Riser diagrams
    • Grounding and lightning protection systems
    • Transformer, generator, and automatic transfer switch requirements
    • Emergency lighting and power systems
    • Electrical equipment and utility room layouts
  • Determine appropriate electrical capacities, circuit protection, conductor sizes, equipment ratings, and service requirements.
  • Review electrical designs for technical accuracy, constructability, maintainability, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate electrical layouts with architectural, structural, civil, plumbing, sanitary, mechanical, and fire protection drawings.
  • Identify design conflicts and provide practical technical recommendations before construction implementation.
2. FDAS and Auxiliary Systems Design

- Prepare, review, and coordinate Fire Detection and Alarm System designs in accordance with applicable codes and BFP requirements.

- Develop FDAS layouts, device locations, zoning diagrams, riser diagrams, control panel requirements, and interface details.

- Prepare and coordinate auxiliary and low-current system designs, including:

  • Structured cabling and data systems
  • Telephone systems
  • CCTV and security surveillance systems
  • Access control systems
  • Intercom systems
  • Public address and background music systems
  • Cable television systems
  • Building management and monitoring system interfaces
  • Doorbell and communication systems
  • Other project-specific auxiliary systems

- Coordinate FDAS interfaces with fire protection equipment, elevators, emergency power, mechanical systems, and other relevant building systems.

- Review equipment specifications, product data, shop drawings, and material submittals for FDAS and auxiliary systems.

- Assist in the testing, commissioning, and acceptance of FDAS and auxiliary installations.

3. . Technical Coordination
  • Independently handle the review, coordination, and monitoring of electrical, FDAS, and auxiliary deliverables for assigned projects.
  • Review drawings, calculations, technical specifications, reports, and design submissions prepared by consultants, contractors, suppliers, and external designers.
  • Coordinate directly with utility providers, electrical cooperatives, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government agencies.
  • Attend design, coordination, and site meetings and provide updates regarding deliverables, technical concerns, risks, and pending decisions.
  • Coordinate electrical requirements with the architectural, structural, civil, land development, QS/cost, pre-development, permits, and site operations teams.
  • Review electrical equipment locations, electrical rooms, transformer areas, generator areas, meter banks, cable routes, and utility service connections.
  • Monitor drawing progress and ensure the timely completion of assigned deliverables.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, CAD operators, site personnel, contractors, and suppliers when required.
4. Permits, Codes, and Regulatory Compliance

Prepare, review, and coordinate electrical documents required for:

  • Building permit applications
  • Electrical permit applications
  • Fire Safety Evaluation Clearance
  • Occupancy permit requirements
  • Electrical service applications
  • Energization requirements
  • Utility provider submissions
  • FDAS and auxiliary system approvals

Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including:

  • Philippine Electrical Code
  • Fire Code of the Philippines
  • National Building Code of the Philippines
  • Electronics Engineering requirements, where applicable
  • BFP requirements
  • Local government and OBO requirements
  • Utility provider and electric cooperative requirements
  • Other applicable project-specific standards

Assist in responding to technical comments from the OBO, BFP, LGUs, utility providers, consultants, and other reviewing agencies.

Prepare technical justifications, reports, letters, and supporting documents for electrical, FDAS, and auxiliary concerns.

5. Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare technical reports, design summaries, issue trackers, coordination logs, and drawing status updates.
  • Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, calculations, permits, technical references, comments, approvals, and coordination documents.
  • Document design decisions, site instructions, clarifications, revisions, and approval history.
  • Monitor pending technical concerns and coordinate action items with concerned departments.
  • Assist in preparing management updates regarding project progress, technical risks, and outstanding electrical issues.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Must be a Registered Electrical Engineer.
  • At least three to four years of relevant experience in electrical systems design, technical coordination, construction, site implementation, or quality control.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing electrical, FDAS, and auxiliary system designs.
  • Experience in residential subdivisions, mass housing, commercial, mid-rise, high-rise, or mixed-use developments is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating with OBO, BFP, LGUs, utility providers, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams.
  • Registered Master Plumber or relevant experience in plumbing and sanitary design is a strong advantage.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of Revit MEP, BIM coordination, or Navisworks is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in:
    • Electrical load calculations
    • Power distribution systems
    • Lighting and power layouts
    • Panel schedules and single-line diagrams
    • Grounding and lightning protection systems
    • Transformers, generators, and automatic transfer switches
    • Emergency power and lighting systems
    • FDAS design and coordination
    • CCTV, data, telephone, access control, intercom, and other auxiliary systems
    • Electrical utility service connections
    • Electrical testing and commissioning
  • Able to interpret architectural, structural, civil, plumbing, sanitary, fire protection, and other engineering drawings.
  • Able to review technical specifications, equipment schedules, shop drawings, material submittals, and as-built drawings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable electrical safety standards, regulations, and engineering practices.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in residential subdivisions, mass housing, mid-rise, or high-rise developments.
  • Experience preparing electrical permit and construction drawing packages.
  • Experience in FDAS design, BFP coordination, testing, and commissioning.
  • Experience in auxiliary and low-current system design.
  • Experience coordinating with Meralco, electric cooperatives, BFP, OBO, LGUs, and other utility providers.
  • Experience in plumbing and sanitary design or coordination.
  • Registered Master Plumber license is a significant advantage.
  • Experience reviewing the work of junior engineers and CAD personnel is an advantage
