Job summary

Inovus Building Solutions Inc. is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical designs, layouts, and technical drawings for building projects in Laguna.

You will create power distribution, lighting, and auxiliary systems, coordinating with MEP, architectural, and structural teams to ensure code compliance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, knowledge of PEC, proficiency in AutoCAD, and familiarity with Revit MEP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) preferred or required depending on project requirements.
• Experience in electrical design for building/construction projects preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical drafting and design.
• Knowledge of SLDs, load calculations, and panel scheduling.
• Familiarity with Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs, layouts, and technical drawings for building projects.

About the role

Electrical Design Engineer responsible for preparing and developing electrical designs, layouts, and technical drawings for building and construction projects. The role involves developing electrical plans including power distribution, lighting, auxiliary systems, and coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and develop electrical designs, layouts, and technical drawings for building and construction projects
• Develop electrical plans including power distribution, lighting, auxiliary systems, and other electrical systems
• Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), load schedules, panel schedules, and electrical schematics
• Assist in the design and selection of electrical panels, breakers, cables, and other electrical components
• Prepare and review electrical design calculations and material specifications
• Create and update electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Coordinate electrical designs with MEP, architectural, structural, and other engineering disciplines
• Review plans and drawings to ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and project requirements
• Conduct site inspections when required and provide technical support to project teams
• Revise designs and drawings based on project requirements and site conditions

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Electrical Engineer (REE) preferred or required depending on project requirements
• Experience in electrical design for building and construction projects preferred
• Proficient in AutoCAD for electrical drafting and design
• Knowledge and working experience in Revit MEP is an advantage
• Knowledge and/or experience in electrical panel designing, including panel schedules, load calculations, and component selection
• Knowledge of Single-Line Diagrams (SLD), load schedules, power distribution, and lighting systems
• Familiarity with applicable Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and relevant standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
