Job summary

ZACHRY PHILIPPINES, INC. in Metro Manila is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with a REE license to lead design efforts for oil, gas and process plants. This role covers FEED through detailed design and requires coordinating with clients and vendors to meet project goals.

You will mentor junior engineers, ensure adherence to international and client standards, and drive deliverables while managing schedules and budgets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with REE license required.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering and design experience in Oil & Gas or process industries.
• Design experience on medium/high voltage systems preferred.
• Capable of leading or checker roles in design and engineering workshare projects.
• IIEE membership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, check and review design deliverables including SLDs, Loadlists, Cable/Panel Schedules, BOMs, layouts.
• Perform calculations, sizing, datasheets, and power system activities during FEED and Detailed Design phases.
• Incorporate NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC and client codes and standards.
• Use ETAP, Dialux and related software.
• Use AutoCAD, Aveva E3D, SP3D and MS Office.
• Lead and own design deliverables aligned with project and client requirements.
• Coordinate meetings with project leads, clients and vendors; monitor resources and schedules.
• Ensure QA system and engineering documentation procedures are followed.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Capture changes and ensure proper checking before release.
• Manpower estimation, scheduling, budgeting, progress monitoring.
• Follow HR, Admin, and Safety rules; willingness to work extended hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with REE license is a must.
• Has at least 5 years of electrical engineering and design experience in the Oil and Gas Industry, Power, or other process-related industrial plants.
• Design experience on medium and/or high voltage systems will be an advantage.
• Has the capability to handle a lead role or checker in design and engineering workshare projects.
• Construction, Testing, and Commissioning experience is an added asset but not required.
• Membership in the nationally accredited professional organization such as the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines (IIEE) is desirable.

Job Description:

• Prepare, check and review design deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, Loadlist, Cable Schedules, Panel Schedules, Bill of Materials, Plans and Layouts, Schematic Diagrams, Installation Details, and other design deliverables.
• Perform calculations, sizing, datasheets and specifications, and power systems activities during Front End Engineering and Detailed Detail phases of the project.
• Incorporation to design the international standards such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other industry and client-specific codes and standards.
• Use of Electrical Engineering software such as ETAP, Dialux, and other related software.
• Use of 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD, Aveva E3D, SP3D and similar software. Knowledgeable in MS Office is a must.
• Lead and take ownership in the preparation of design deliverables with due consideration of each project and client’s requirements.
• Coordination, attend to meetings with other project leads, clients, and vendors. Monitor, control, and plan assigned project resources such as man-hour, schedule, references, and deliverables.
• Ensure the company’s Quality Management System and related engineering and documentation procedures are implemented in all phases of project execution.
• Supervise, mentor, provide technical direction to less experienced engineers and designers.
• Capture all changes/modifications in the deliverables that have been intimated by the Project, prior to the release of the deliverable. Ensure appropriate checking & review of all documents/drawings before release at any Revision status. Attend project review meetings.
• Manpower estimation, schedule planning, budget control, and progress monitoring related to the completion of electrical engineering documents.
• Ensure that the company’s Administrative, Human Resources, and Safety rules and regulations are followed at all times.
• Willing to work extended hours if required as per project requirements.

• Perform calculations, sizing, specifications, and other tasks such as Power System Analysis, Cable Sizing, Electrical Equipment Datasheets and Sizing, Design Basis, FEED studies, Construction Bid packages, Cost Estimates, and Vendor/Contractor Document Reviews.
• Incorporation to design the international standards such as NEC, NFPA, IEEE, IEC, and other industry and client-specific codes and standards.
• Use of Electrical Engineering software such as SKM, ETAP, Visual Lighting, Dialux, and other software/calculation tools. Use of 2D and 3D design software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, E3D, and similar software. Knowledgeable in MS Office is a must.
• Lead and take ownership in the preparation of design deliverables with due consideration of each project and client’s requirements.
• Coordination, attend to meetings with other project leads, clients, vendors,s and contractors. Monitor, control, and plan assigned project resources such as man-hour, schedule, references, and deliverables.
