Job summary

Aboitiz Power Corporation in Cebu is seeking an HV Maintenance Technician responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment to ensure continuous plant operation and reliability.

You will perform routine inspections of HV transmission lines, ensure PPE is in good condition, and implement corrective actions on generators and control systems, while following ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 27001 standards.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience with electrical systems preferred
• Ability to follow safety procedures and work in high-voltage environments
• Strong attention to detail and fault diagnosis

Responsibilities

• Maintain high voltage electrical equipment and its control through preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure continuous plant operation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on main generators and HV substation equipment as directed to ensure reliability.
• Perform corrective and reliability-centered maintenance on electrical equipment and generators as instructed.
• Conduct routine inspections of HV transmission lines and ensure PPE is in good condition and available when needed.
• Report safety, environmental, and information security events or risks and assist in corrective actions.

Job description

The position is responsible for the maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment and its control by conducting preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure continuous operation. The position is also responsible for conducting system improvement for better protection and convenience in operation.

Conducts preventive maintenance activities on all main generators and HV substation electrical equipment as directed by Team Leader in accordance with the PMS to ensure good reliability and availability of the plant.

Conducts corrective and reliability centered maintenance on electrical equipment as instructed by Team Leader and based on applicable standards.

• Conducts routine inspection of HV transmission lines.

• Ensures HV personal protective equipment are in good condition and available when necessary.
• Implements corrective maintenance on generators and other machine control systems.

• Conforms to the company’s Quality, Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Information Security Management Systems policies, standards, procedures, and guidelines based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 27001 Standards.

• Reports Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, and Information Security events/incidents or potential events, or other security risks to the organization/ committees-in-charge.
