Job summary

COMMSEC INC. seeks an Electrical Design Coordinator in Batangas to lead technical interface between electrical specialists and the EPC design team, ensuring design outputs meet contract and local codes in the Philippines.

You will coordinate submission, review and modification of electrical design results for booster stations, track document progress, and drive resolution of technical issues with NGCP interface and related approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or above in electrical engineering.
• At least 5 years of power engineering design experience in the Philippines.
• Experience in local project design management in the Philippines.
• Familiar with 230kV substation design and local photovoltaic projects in Philippines.
• Participated in photovoltaic EPC projects or full EPC power transmission design.
• Familiar with NGCP design review and approval process.
• Proficient in IEC, NGCP and local power industry standards; familiar with PV, protection, measurement, SCADA, and network security.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Proficient in CAD drawing software and electrical drawings.
• Willing to be assigned in Batangas; able to start asap.

Job description

Electrical Design Coordinator of Design Management Department.

Major duty:

• As the main technical interface between the electrical specialist of the design management department and the EPC design team;

• Coordinate the compilation, submission, review and modification of electrical design results of booster station;

• Track the submission progress of design documents, calculations and manufacturer's information;

• Coordinate the closure of OE review opinion (DRR) and the reply of technical problems;

• Coordinate NGCP interface and approval related technical work;

• Organize professional technical meetings and promote the solution of design problems;

• Ensure that the design results meet the contract requirements, MTR requirements and local codes in the Philippines;

• Coordinate the professional interface management of photovoltaic, electrical primary and secondary, protection, communication and measurement.

Qualifications:

• Major in electrical engineering, bachelor degree or above.

• Performance and resume requirements At least 5 years experience in power engineering design in Philippines;

• Experience in local project design management in the Philippines;

• Familiar with substation design of 230kV and above, familiar with local photovoltaic project design in Philippines;

• Participated in at least one photovoltaic EPC project or the whole process design of power transmission and transformation EPC project;

• Familiar with NGCP design review and approval process.

• Skill requirements Proficient in IEC, NGCP and Philippine power industry standards; Familiar with photovoltaic, protection, measurement, communication, SCADA and network security systems;

• Strong design management and cross-disciplinary coordination ability;
