Job summary

World Vision Bangladesh seeks an Environment & Ecosystem Officer to lead restoration, ecosystem-based adaptation, and climate resilience activities in camps and host communities. The role involves coordinating with government and partners to ensure sustainable, community-driven environmental interventions.

Responsibilities include monitoring, risk analyses, and capacity building, with emphasis on safeguarding and gender-inclusive practices in humanitarian settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Master's degree will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in ecosystem restoration and environmental management.
• Familiarity with GIS, GPS mapping, and data collection tools.
• Excellent English communication skills (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation of environmental restoration and NbS/EbA activities.
• Monitor, evaluate, and report on environmental interventions.
• Coordinate with government and partners on restoration initiatives.
• Engage communities, youth, women, and volunteers in conservation efforts.
• Ensure safeguarding and compliance with donor requirements.
