Job summary

Acquire Intelligence in the Philippines is seeking a General Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and prepare timely reports to support business decisions.

The role focuses on financial statement prep, balance sheet management, P&L analysis, month-end close, and providing insights to management. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong hands-on experience preparing Balance Sheet, P&L, and Income Statement reports.
• Experience with month-end and year-end financial close.
• Strong account reconciliation and variance analysis skills.
• Good understanding of accruals, prepayments, depreciation, provisions, and journal entries.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to explain financial movements to non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Prepare and maintain Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Income Statement reports.
• Review financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
• Perform detailed analysis of financial statement accounts and discrepancies.
• Prepare supporting schedules and working papers for financial reporting.
• Ensure financial reports comply with applicable accounting standards and company policies.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support management decision-making.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, reporting accuracy, and processes.
• Audit-ready financial records and meaningful insights for management.
