Job summary

Tropical Focus Phils., Inc. is seeking a Duty Officer to coordinate with the chiller operator and lead day-to-day operations at SM Pampanga. The role requires a mechanical/electromechanical engineering background, English/Filipino fluency, and 1–3 years in HVAC operation and maintenance.

Fresh graduates are welcome. Willingness to work weekends/holidays and to start ASAP is expected, with emphasis on supervisory skills and effective communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/College Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Electromechanical engineering.
• Fluent in English and Filipino (oral/written).
• 1–3 years HVAC/Air-conditioning operation and maintenance experience.
• Fresh graduates or non-licensed engineers welcome.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with chiller operator regarding plant status.
• Facilitate activities for daily operation.
• Coordinate with engineering division, sub-contractors, and mall admin.
• Inform Project Manager and division managers of any breakdowns.
• Prepare daily activity input and preventive maintenance tasks.
• Conduct quality control inspections to ensure equipment condition.
• Prepare monthly reports for designated recipients.
• Discuss issues with subcontractors during preventive maintenance inspections.
• Coordinate with FLSE regarding tenant calls about temperature comfort.
• Check SWC personnel attendance on arrival to office.
• Observe housekeeping during operation day.
• Prepare all other tasks in the absence of the project manager.

Job description

The role of the Duty Officer is (but not limited) to:

• Coordinate with the chiller operator regarding the status of the plant.

• Facilitate various activities for the day of operation.

• Coordinate with the engineering division, sub contractors, and mall admin.

• Inform Project Manager, FLSE and division managers of any breakdown, damages or whatever problems encountered during operation.

• Prepare all tasks that are essential for the day of operation such as, input of daily activity report, including preventive maintenance.

• Conduct quality control inspections to make sure that equipment is in good working condition.

• Prepare monthly report to be submitted to the designated persons

• Discuss to subcontractors any problems that might be encountered during their preventive maintenance inspection.

• Coordinate with the FLSE regarding calls from the tenants regarding on room temperature comfort problems.

• Check the attendance of the SWC personnel upon arrival to the office.

• Observe proper housekeeping in the whole day of operation.

• The duty officer is responsible to prepare all other tasks in the absence of the project manager.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Mechanical), Engineering (Mechatronic/Electromechanical), and other course related with HVAC/ Air-conditioning

• Must be fluent in Oral/ Written English/ Filipino languages.

• At least 1-3 year(s) in HVAC/Air-conditioning operation and maintenance or any related field an advantage.

• Job role is in Project Management or Team Leader category.
