Job summary

SM Engineering Design and Development Corp. in Metro Manila seeks an Electrical/Mechanical Engineer for facilities management.

The role covers ensuring reliability of mall equipment, scheduling PM via CMMS, monitoring water and power use, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards. The candidate should hold a BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, be licensed, and able to review quotations and coordinate with contractors.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree.
• Licensed Electrical or Mechanical Engineer required.
• Knowledge to maintain and operate mall utilities and equipment.
• Ability to analyze quotations and cross-check with EDD estimates.
• Schedule major PM and repairs via CMMS to avoid mall disruption.
• Knowledge of national/local building codes and safety standards.
• Willing to be assigned to MOA, Pasay or other Metro Manila mall branches.

Responsibilities

• Ensures reliability of equipment for the assigned department/area.
• Schedules preventive maintenance for equipment through CMMS.
• Monitors water and electrical consumption of the area.
• Ensures compliance with housekeeping rules of MEPFS facilities.
• Manages documentation of incidents and escalation reports.
• Evaluates contractor service reports through inspection.
• Prepares documents for projects and approvals (letters, reports, synopses).
• Assists in work permits for tenants and contractors.
• Leads MEPF-related committees and meetings.
• Prepares MSRS, FAPR, and billing documentation with supporting forms.
• Participates in meetings and mall activities, and other duties as needed.
• Monitors electro-mechanical ops (Cooling Towers, Chillers, GenSets, Substation, AHU/FCUs, etc.).

• Ensures reliability of equipment of assigned department/area
• Schedules all equipment for Preventive Maintenance through CMMS
• Monitors and analyzes water and electrical consumption of assigned department/area
• Ensures compliance to housekeeping rule of MEPFS Facilities
• Manages documentation of unusual incidents, proper reporting and escalation
• Evaluates the contractor's service reports through inspection
• Prepares documents for projects, plans and activities such as cover letters, technical report and synopsis for project approval
• Assists in the assessment and approval of work permit/hot works permit of tenants and contractors
• Leads MEPF related Adhoc/Special Committees in terms of meetings, issues discussion, standardization
• Prepares MSRS, FAPR and billings including the supporting documents such as synopsis, justification form and lay out/specification
• Participates in the meetings and activities (toolbox, mall discussions, announcements tenant concerns, mall events)
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
• Monitors the engineering activities which includes electro-mechanical equipment operations and maintenance (such as Cooling Towers, Chillers, GenSets, Substation, Lightning Arrester, Pump Room, STP, Gas Farm, AHU/FCUs, mall common area, back alleys and perimeter)- AHU/Elevator)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• With a degree in BS Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Licensed Electrical Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
• Knowledgeable to maintain and operate the equipment and utilities of the mall
• Able to analyze quotations and counter check with own EDD estimate
• Able to schedule major equipment preventive maintenance and/or repairs to ensure this will not disrupt mall operations, thru CMMS
• With good working knowledge of national and local building codes and safety standards
• Must be willing to be assigned in MOA, Pasay or any mall branches in Metro Manila
