Job summary

Inovus Building Solutions Inc. seeks a skilled Ductman Fabricator to fabricate HVAC ducting components from GI, BI and sheet metal, reading drawings accurately and meeting dimensions.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate with related vocational training.
• NC II in Ducting or HVAC is a plus.
• 3–5 years of duct fabrication experience
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and layouts.
• Experience with GI and BI sheet metal materials.
• Proficient in using manual and power sheet metal tools.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate HVAC ducting components per drawings and dimensions.

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Ductman Fabricator to perform fabrication of HVAC ducting components using GI, BI, and other sheet metal materials. The ideal candidate must have experience in duct fabrication works, knowledge of fabrication standards, and the ability to interpret drawings and measurements accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Fabricate HVAC ducting components such as straight ducts, elbows, reducers, offsets, transitions, and related fittings based on approved drawings and dimensions.

• Perform accurate measurement, marking, cutting, bending, folding, and assembly of sheet metal materials

• Operate fabrication tools and equipment such as shearing machines, bending machines, grooving tools, cutting tools, and other related fabrication equipment.

• Ensure fabricated duct sections comply with required dimensions, alignment, and workmanship standards

• Prepare duct accessories including flanges, cleats, stiffeners, supports, and reinforcement materials as required

• Interpret shop drawings, fabrication details, and duct layout plans for proper material preparation and fabrication sequencing

• Conduct visual inspection of fabricated ducting prior to endorsement for installation or delivery to site

• Maintain proper housekeeping, material handling, and safe use of tools and equipment within the fabrication area

• Coordinate with supervisors and other fabrication personnel regarding production requirements and target completion schedules

About you

• At least High School Graduate; completion of a vocational course related to metal fabrication, welding, or HVAC works is an advantage

• Holder of NC II in Ducting, HVAC, or related trade is an advantage

• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in duct fabrication works

• Knowledgeable in the fabrication of GI, BI, and other sheet metal materials used for HVAC ducting

• Familiar with duct fittings, fabrication methods, and standard duct dimensions

• Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings, measurements, and cutting layouts

• Skilled in the use of manual and power tools related to sheet metal fabrication

• Physically fit and capable of performing fabrication work in a workshop environment

• Strong attention to detail and workmanship quality

• Ability to work under minimal supervision
