Rurex Fabrication and Trading Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to interpret blueprints, prepare materials, and perform welding operations (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-core) to produce precise structures.

A Fabricator/Welder is responsible for interpreting blueprints, preparing and cutting materials, assembling components, and performing welding operations (MIG, TIG, Stick, Flux-core) to produce precise, high-quality structures. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards in manufacturing, construction, or industrial settings.
Blueprint Interpretation
Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and cutting lists to plan material requirements and workflow.
Material Preparation
Measure, mark, and cut materials (plate, tube, angle, structural steel) using templates, squares, and cutting tools.
Cutting Operations
Operate plasma cutters, oxyfuel torches, band saws, and grinders to achieve precise dimensions.
Fit-up & Assembly
Align, tack weld, and assemble components ensuring dimensional accuracy before final welding.
Welding Processes
Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-core welding across steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
Finishing & Grinding
Grind, polish, and finish welds to meet visual and structural quality standards.
Inspection & Quality Control
Conduct visual and dimensional inspections, apply non-destructive testing (NDT), and repair defects.
Fabrication Machinery Operation
Operate press brakes, shears, rolls, and jigs/fixtures to bend, form, and assemble components.
Safety Compliance Follow strict safety protocols, including PPE use, safe rigging practices, and adherence to Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS).
