Job summary

KDCI Outsourcing is seeking an experienced CAD Drafter to develop accurate drawings, designs, and project documentation for engineering projects in civil and/or electrical drafting. Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation, plus strong attention to detail, are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Diploma in Drafting required.
• 3+ years Civil Design and/or electrical drafting experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with CAD systems such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Familiarity with civil design codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Ability to produce detailed layouts, sections, drawings, and plans from designs.
• Experience producing as-built drawings and documentation is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with engineering and project delivery teams.
• Current Class C driver's license and willingness to travel.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design & Delivery

• Perform design calculations and drafting tasks for various projects, ensuring accuracy and adherence to technical specifications.
• Prepare detailed layouts, sections, and arrangements based on design requirements and project specifications.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and design computations to support engineering tasks.
• Prepare reports, maps, drawings, and plans required for the successful execution of projects.
• Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, to create detailed drawings and design documentation.

Job Requirements

Must Have

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Certificate IV in Drafting, or an equivalent qualification (or currently working towards one).
• At least 3 years of Civil Design and/or electrical drafting experience.
• Hands-on experience using CAD systems such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or equivalent drafting software.
• Familiarity with civil design codes, regulations, industry best practices, and performance standards.
• Ability to prepare detailed layouts, sections, arrangements, drawings, plans, and other technical documentation.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and translate engineering requirements into accurate drawings and designs.
• Experience producing as-built drawings and documentation is preferred.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality technical documentation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with engineering and project delivery teams.
• Current Class C driver's license.
• Ability and willingness to travel when required.
