Job summary

BIGLITE INTERNATIONAL LIGHTING INC is seeking a skilled Draftsman to support architectural and engineering projects with precise 2D drawings and realistic 3D renderings. You will convert sketches into technical drawings, build SketchUp models, and produce detailed plans and elevations.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of drafting experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering tools, with a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as Draftsman or related role.
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials.

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman with strong experience in both 2D technical drafting and 3D modeling. The ideal candidate will be responsible for producing accurate construction drawings, realistic 3D visualizations, and high-quality renderings to support architectural and engineering projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D architectural and construction drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details)
• Develop 3D models using SketchUp or similar software
• Create realistic 3D renderings for presentations and client approval
• Convert conceptual sketches into technical drawings
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers
• Revise drawings based on project and client requirements
• Ensure compliance with standards and specifications
• Maintain organized drawing files and revisions
• Assist the Project Manager in related project tasks such as documentation and filing of project records, site inspection and reporting, canvassing and sourcing of materials and suppliers, taking site notes and measurements, preparing minutes of meetings, and other administrative or technical support tasks related to ongoing projects

About you

• Minimum 3 years experience as Draftsman or related role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D drafting
• Strong skills in SketchUp for 3D modeling
• Experience in rendering software (V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion, etc.)
• Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
