Job summary

Emapta Philippines is seeking a Design Drafter to produce production-ready 3D models, schematics, and BOMs for air-filtration products. You will convert approved concepts into manufacturable drawings with SolidWorks, ensuring dimensional accuracy and proper revision control.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related discipline.
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency for parts, assemblies, and drawings.

• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally.

Qualifications

Skills and Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant mechanical or product drafting experience
• Background in manufacturing, industrial equipment, mechanical products, or a similar engineered-product environment
• Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, accountability, and organizational skills
• Clear communication, proactive questioning, and effective cross-functional collaboration
• Constructive approach to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement
• Adaptability and willingness to embrace evolving processes and ways of working

Must Have

• Diploma, degree, or equivalent technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related discipline
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency in creating parts, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings
• Proven ability to prepare accurate schematics, bills of materials, and supporting technical documentation
• Sound understanding of dimensions, tolerances, materials, drawing standards, and design-for-manufacture principles
• Experience working within controlled drawing and revision-management processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365
• Strong written and spoken English
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with complex assemblies, sheet-metal components, weldments, heavy equipment, HVAC systems, or filtration products
• Ability to interpret engineering calculations or finite element analysis outputs
• Familiarity with ISO-aligned quality and document-control processes
• Exposure to customer-specific designs and formal design reviews
• Participation in continuous-improvement or cost-reduction initiatives
• Knowledge of SolidWorks PDM or another product data or document management system
• Familiarity with ERP platforms such as NetSuite
• Proficiency in collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams

Responsibilities

Duties

• Produce accurate 3D models, manufacturing drawings, schematics, and bills of materials for air-filtration products
• Translate approved engineering concepts and customer requirements into practical, manufacturable documentation
• Maintain controlled and traceable design records within the PDM system
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, installation, and other stakeholders to support projects through production

Daily Responsibilities

• Create and revise SolidWorks parts and assemblies according to approved specifications
• Prepare supporting technical documentation for manufacturing and installation
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, materials, drawing standards, and manufacturability
• Manage document revisions and maintain traceable files within the PDM system
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate stakeholder feedback
• Clarify technical requirements and resolve drafting-related production or installation issues
• Prioritize competing tasks and provide progress updates against agreed deadlines
