Job summary

Sunsure Energy is hiring a DM/Manager to own Material Quality assurance for wind turbine components including tower, nacelle, hub, and blades. You will lead pre‑supply audits at OEMs, witness fabrication and FAT activities, and coordinate site and commissioning QA with cross‑functional teams.

Ideal candidate has 7–12 years in wind turbine QA, hands-on at OEM or Tier‑1 suppliers, and a strong background in NDT and blade testing.

Qualifications

• Deep command of IEC 61400 standard series.
• Expert in tower / blade / nacelle / gearbox / generator FAT.
• NDT (UT / RT / PT / MT / VT) on large-dia tower sections.
• Composite-blade QA (fibre layup, resin infusion, fatigue test).
• Vendor qualification and pre-supply audits at WTG OEMs.

Responsibilities

• Own Material Quality assurance for WTG commodity – tower, nacelle, hub, blade, pitch/yaw, gearbox, generator, converter per IEC 61400 standards.
• Perform pre-supply audits at WTG OEMs and maintain AVL.
• Witness tower fabrication QA including welding, NDT, coating per AWS D1.1 / ISO 17637.
• Oversee blade manufacturing QA – fibre layup, resin infusion, post-curing, fatigue tests.
• Drive FAT for tower sections, blades, nacelle, gearbox, generator, converter per IEC 61400.
• Coordinate site-receipt QA with Construction Quality (torque-tension checks, bolt stretch).
• Support commissioning QA – reliability run, tests, power curve verification, noise tests.
• Raise and close NCR/CAR; lead CAPA for quality issues.
• Monitor MQ-WTG line and monthly MIS; align with IEC standards updates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Role Purpose
  Own Material Quality assurance for WTG commodity – tower (steel / hybrid), nacelle, hub, blade (glass / carbon fibre composite), pitch / yaw / gearbox / generator / PMSG / DFIG, converter, control system – per IEC 61400 standard series (IEC 61400-1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 11 / 12 / 13 / 21 / 22 / 23 / 24 / 25).
• Vendor Qualification
  Pre-supply audits at WTG OEMs (SGRE / Suzlon / GE / Inox / Envision / Vestas); maintain AVL.
• Tower Fabrication QA
  Witness tower rolling / welding / NDT / coating at domestic / overseas mills (TRF / LRT / Saw / GRI / CS / Windar); UT / RT / PT / VT per AWS D1.1 / ISO 17637.
• Blade QA
  Witness blade manufacturing – fibre layup, resin infusion, post-curing, static / dynamic / fatigue test at blade factory.
• FAT
  Drive FAT for tower sections, blades, nacelle, gearbox, generator, converter per IEC 61400.
• Site-Receipt QA
  Site-receipt inspection of tower sections, blades; coordinate with Construction Quality on tower-top torque-tension, blade-bolt stretch check.
• Commissioning QA
  Witness reliability run, PR / AEP test, yaw / pitch calibration, power curve verification, noise test.
• NCR / CAR
  Raise and close NCR / CAR with WTG OEM; drive CAPA.
• Budget
  Track MQ-WTG line; monthly MIS.
• Standards
  Track IEC 61400 series; recommend QAP / spec updates; interface with DNV / TUV for type-cert / certification.

EDUCTION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience – 7-12 years in wind turbine / aerospace / heavy-engineering QA; hands-on at WTG OEM or tier-1 supplier. Direct experience with ≥20 WTG erection QA campaigns preferred.
• Education – Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical / Aerospace / Electrical / Materials Engineering.
