Job summary

About the role

ABest Express Inc. is seeking a Dispatcher/Motorized Rider to join our dynamic logistics team in Mandaue City, Cebu. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring timely and efficient delivery of parcels and packages to our customers. As a Dispatcher/Motorized Rider, you will be the backbone of our courier operations, managing both the coordination of deliveries and executing route optimisation whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service. This role is essential to our mission of providing reliable and prompt courier services across the region.

What you'll be doing

• Operating a motorised vehicle to collect and deliver parcels and packages to designated locations within assigned routes
• Coordinating and dispatching delivery assignments to ensure efficient route planning and timely customer deliveries
• Maintaining accurate delivery records, tracking parcels, and updating customers on delivery status
• Preparing delivery documentation and ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time
• Communicating with customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays or issues
• Monitoring vehicle maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues or damage promptly
• Adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations whilst operating the motorised vehicle
• Handling customer inquiries and complaints professionally and escalating complex issues to management
• Optimising delivery routes to minimise fuel consumption and reduce delivery times
• Assisting in warehouse operations when required, including sorting and labelling of packages

What we're looking for

• Valid driver's licence appropriate for operating motorised delivery vehicles
• Proven experience as a courier driver, dispatcher, or in a similar logistics role
• Knowledge of local road networks, traffic patterns, and geography in Mandaue City and surrounding areas
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple deliveries
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to service delivery
• Physical fitness and ability to handle packages of varying sizes
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic with a commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently whilst also collaborating effectively with team members
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with delivery tracking systems (preferred)
• Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations
