Job summary

Emerson seeks a Director of Technology to guide Guardian software and solutions across industries, leading software engineering, quality assurance, development operations, and deployment teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure systems.

You will shape the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap, collaborating with global teams to drive innovation and operational excellence while strengthening cybersecurity and resilience throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
10+ years in software/technology engineering delivering complex products at scale.
7+ years leading multiple development teams in software/cloud/hardware environments.
Experience defining technical direction and roadmaps.
Proven ability to build teams and drive organizational effectiveness.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.
Experience with Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe.

Responsibilities

Lead software engineering, QA, DevOps, and deployment teams.
Guide Agile Release Trains and multidisciplinary teams for Guardian software.
Define and execute technical vision, strategy, architecture, and product roadmap.
Drive organizational effectiveness by improving processes and capabilities.
Establish priorities, objectives, and success measures for engineering leaders.
Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
Partner with leaders across functions and locations to improve outcomes.
Champion continuous improvement with scalable development approaches.
Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends in software and automation.
Strengthen software quality, cybersecurity, and operational resilience.
