Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in die/mould engineering, press stamping, tooling, machining, or manufacturing engineering.
• Working knowledge of conventional milling, drilling, and grinding machines.
• Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, and corrective-action skills.
• Knowledge of 8D Problem Solving is an advantage.
• Leadership or people-management experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Analyze product defects and determine whether abnormalities originate from dies, moulds, stamping, machining, or fabrication processes.
• Lead die trials, troubleshooting, technical analysis, and validation of corrective actions.
• Develop and recommend corrective and preventive countermeasures to reduce repeat defects and downtime.
• Support repair, modification, improvement, and fabrication of tooling components.
• Use or oversee the use of conventional milling, drilling, and grinding machines as required.
• Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to production, quality, and management.
• Coach technicians on technical solutions and proper troubleshooting methods.
• Apply structured problem-solving methods such as 8D where appropriate.
