Vida Dialysis Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dialysis Nurse to join our healthcare team in Matiao Mati City, Davao Oriental. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in delivering high-quality renal care to our patients. As a Dialysis Nurse, you will be responsible for the direct care and management of patients undergoing hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis treatments. This role is essential to our mission to deliver exceptional patient outcomes and maintain the highest standards of clinical excellence in renal care.
What you'll be doing
Assessing and monitoring patients' vital signs, fluid status, and overall health condition before, during, and after dialysis treatments
Establishing and maintaining vascular access points including arteriovenous fistulas, grafts, and central venous catheters
Operating and troubleshooting dialysis machines and associated equipment to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery
Administering medications and managing anticoagulation therapy as prescribed by nephrologists
Educating patients on dietary restrictions, fluid management, and medication adherence to support their treatment outcomes
Documenting comprehensive nursing notes, treatment parameters, and patient responses in medical records
Identifying and responding promptly to complications such as hypotension, muscle cramps, nausea, and access-related issues
Collaborating with the multidisciplinary renal care team including physicians, dietitians, and social workers to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
Maintaining a safe and infection-control compliant environment within the dialysis unit
Providing emotional support and advocacy for patients and their families throughout their treatment journey
What we're looking for
Valid nursing license or registration in the Philippines with current professional credentials
A minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience, preferably in a renal or nephrology setting
Demonstrated knowledge of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis principles, equipment operation, and patient care protocols
Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills to identify and manage patient complications promptly
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
Proficiency in patient monitoring, vital sign assessment, and documentation using electronic health record systems
Knowledge of infection prevention and control measures specific to dialysis settings
Physical ability to perform the demands of the role, including standing for extended periods and manual patient handling
Compassion, patience, and a genuine commitment to improving patients' quality of life
Must Have Certification in BLS & ACLS.
Preferred: Certification or training in nephrology nursing or specialized renal care programs.
