Job summary

Healthway QualiMed Hospital Iloilo is seeking a Dialysis Nurse to deliver high-quality care for patients requiring renal replacement therapy. You will manage dialysis treatments, monitor vital signs, and provide patient and family education in a dedicated acute care setting.

The role requires valid nursing licensure, dialysis/nephrology certification, and 2-3 years of acute care experience with at least 1 year in dialysis. Willingness to be assigned to multiple locations in Iloilo is required.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing licence and registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Specialised certification or qualification in dialysis nursing or nephrology nursing.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in acute care nursing, with at least 1 year of experience in dialysis or nephrology settings.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and operating dialysis machines and equipment per clinical protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
• Initiating and managing vascular access for haemodialysis, including cannulation and monitoring for complications.
• Monitoring patients' vital signs, fluid balance and clinical status during dialysis sessions.
• Administering prescribed medications and anticoagulation therapy as directed by nephrologists.
• Assessing patients for signs of adverse reactions or complications and responding to clinical changes.

About the role

As a Dialysis Nurse, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care to individuals requiring renal replacement therapy. You will be responsible for the safe and effective administration of dialysis treatments whilst providing emotional support and education to patients and their families. This position is essential to our commitment to excellence in acute care nursing and directly impacts patient outcomes and safety within our healthcare facility.

Key responsibilities

• Preparing and operating dialysis machines and equipment in accordance with clinical protocols and manufacturer guidelines
• Initiating and managing vascular access for haemodialysis, including cannulation and monitoring for complications
• Monitoring patients' vital signs, fluid balance and clinical status throughout dialysis treatment sessions
• Administering prescribed medications and anticoagulation therapy as directed by nephrologists
• Assessing patients for signs of adverse reactions or complications and responding promptly to clinical changes

What we're looking for
