Job summary

Avaloq Group is seeking a DevOps & Testing Engineer within the Observability division to design and maintain a QA framework for IT project delivery and service operations. You will contribute to automation, CI, and scalable testing across hybrid and cloud environments, collaborating with multiple teams to raise quality and efficiency.

The role requires experience in building reliable, distributed systems, strong Linux/Windows administration, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Front End or Full stack developer experience
• Proficiency with PHP, Git, Laravel, Selenium, Python, Ansible, Jenkins, MySQL
• Knowledge of OS system management (Linux, Windows)
• Knowledge of cloud services (OCI preferred) is a plus
• Knowledge of AI tools (Claude Code / Copilot) is a plus
• Knowledge of manual or automated tests is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and functions
• Self-motivated, open-minded, goal-oriented, and able to work in a team
• Experience in a mid-sized or large organisation
• Willingness to work on weekends when required
• Fluent written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and continuously enhance the QA testing framework used by the QA & Testing team and related stakeholders
• Develop, maintain, and optimise test cases for cloud and hybrid service environments
• Support the continuous integration and ongoing engineering of the QA testing infrastructure
• Identify technical requirements and help implement effective and sustainable solutions
• Ensure that projects comply with defined quality standards and apply QA gates to enable a smooth transition from project delivery to run operations
