Job summary

Globe Telecom, Inc. is seeking Platform DevOps Engineers to join a competitive, social team responsible for productizing the DevOps practice.

You will work across containers, Kubernetes, and cloud services to automate and streamline releases, while contributing to backend and frontend services that visualize the product for customers. The role emphasizes building reusable templates, pipelines, and boilerplates, with a focus on automation and costumer productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience in DevOps practices and pipelines.
• Exposure to YAML and pipeline tooling.

Responsibilities

• Interact with development teams to identify components to productize and reuse.
• Maintain Pipeline Center of Enablement with embedded governance and compliance.
• Design and brainstorm solutions to improve customer productivity.
• Simplify and abstract highly complex processes to make life easier for the team.
• Develop backend and frontend services as needed to visualize products for customers.
• Create scripts and reusable modules to automate processes.

DevOps as a practice is evolving at an unprecedented rate and with its advancement Globe is riding the waves and we’re now looking for Platform DevOps Engineers that will be part of our highly competitive and social team! Platform DevOps Engineering aims to level up a notch what we have been doing in DevOps by productizing the entire practice itself providing pipeline templates, reusable scripts, boilerplates and automated process. As a member you will be exposed into a multitude of technology from app development to containers and Kubernetes in the the cloud! This will be a good opportunity for those that wants themselves challenged by the light-speed advancement of technology.

Your daily grind

• Interact with different development teams to identify components that can be productized and reuse
• Maintain our Pipeline Center of Enablement ensuring that compliance and governance are embedded on everybody’s releases
• Use your amazing brains in designing and brainstorming solutions that will help our costumer increase productivity
• Focus on making everybody’s life easier by simplifying and abstracting highly complex processes
• You will also get the chance to develop backend and frontend services as we try to visualize our product for our costumers (but note that this is not as extensive as the traditional frontend/backend development)
• Develop scripts, reusable modules and the likes to automate our processes

Our weapons of choice!

• Experience in development skill using Python and NodeJs
• Experience with Ansible, Helm, Kustomize, Packer, Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with Automation (Bash, Python, etc.), Containers and Kubernetes, ArgoCD, JFrog
• Experience with AWS Lambda, AWS S3, and other AWS Services
• Exposure to Public/Private Cloud (AWS/GCP/RHOCP)
• Familiarity with Virtual Machines, APIs/CLI/SDK, GitOps Principles, Java, ReactJS, React Native, Go Lang, PHP, Magento and other Programming Languages. At least 1 or more is a plus.
• Comprehensive understanding of 'DevOps as a practice not a role'
• Exposure to YAML and its manipulation through development
• Exposure with Creating Mobile Pipelines
• Experience in creating Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Pipelines
• Extensive GitLab Pipeline experience is desired!
• Exposure with embedding Automated Testing(Unit Testing/Functional/NonFunctional) in pipelines is a plus!
