Job summary

Canon Australia is seeking a skilled C#/.NET developer in a full-time capacity in the Philippines. You will design and maintain software, write clean C# and JavaScript, and ensure performance and quality.

You’ll identify bottlenecks, fix defects, and contribute to automated testing and CI/CD practices. The role requires 2+ years of software development, experience with ASP.NET, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and SQL, plus familiarity with Angular/Node.js ecosystems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science.
• Minimum 2 years as a software programmer.
• Experience with JavaScript, HTML5, C#, Java and SQL.
• Knowledge of .NET framework, Git, AngularJS, and GitHub.
• Experience creating and maintaining databases; Agile skills preferred.

About the Role

The C# developer will be responsible for building and updating existing software system. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code, JS and SQL scripts.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Design, create and maintain the unit tests of applications.

Skills

• Experience inC#and.NET Framework,with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Web ecosystemASP.NET, HTML,CSS,JavaScript,and its popular frameworks,such asAngular, Node.js,jQuery, NPMetc.
• Knowledgeable in object-oriented programming
• Skill for writingreusableC# librariesand APIs
• ExperiencewithMicrosoft SQL Server
• Familiaritywith popular web application frameworks, such asjQuery, Angular etc.
• Writeclean, readable C# code
• Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
• Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
• Basic understanding of Common Language Runtime (CLR), its limitations, weaknesses, and workarounds
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Experience in using Azure DevOps
• Familiarity with continuous integration

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or computer science.
• Previous experience as a software programme for at least 2 years.
• Experience in programming languages including JavaScript, HTML5, C#, Java and SQL.
• Knowledge of system frameworks including .NET, Git, AngularJS, and GitHub.
• Experience creating and maintaining databases.
• Preferably with Agile development technologies.
• Good interpersonal skills.
