Job summary

DM Consunji, Inc. is seeking a Design Manager to lead the architecture division in Makati City.

You will oversee all design activities across a diverse project portfolio, directing a team of designers and architects, managing workflows, and collaborating with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to deliver projects of architectural excellence. The role requires a Bachelor's in Architecture, a Philippine Architecture license, and at least 10 years of experience with 5+ years in leadership.

• Professional Architecture license or equivalent qualification in the Philippines.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design and project delivery, with at least 5 years in leadership or management.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality deliverables and professional development.
• Oversee the design phase of projects from concept through detailed design documentation, ensuring compliance with client briefs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and refine design concepts, working closely with architects and designers to translate client vision into compelling design solutions.
• Manage design budgets, timelines, and resources across multiple projects to ensure efficient delivery and cost-effectiveness.
• Liaise with clients, project stakeholders, and external consultants to communicate design concepts and address feedback.
• Ensure all design outputs meet industry standards, building codes, sustainability principles, and company quality benchmarks.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, and project management teams to facilitate seamless design-to-build transitions.
• Review and approve design documentation, drawings, specifications, and technical deliverables.
• Drive innovation and best practices in architectural design methodologies and digital tools.
• Contribute to business development initiatives by supporting proposal preparation and design presentations.

About the role

We are seeking a Design Manager to join our architecture division in Makati City, Metro Manila, on a full-time basis. What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related built environment discipline
• Professional Architecture license or equivalent qualification in the Philippines
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architectural design and project delivery, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management capacity
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects across commercial, High-rise, or mixed-use developments
• Strong proficiency in architectural design software and Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop architectural professionals
• Exceptional design thinking and ability to balance aesthetic, functional, and commercial considerations
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards applicable in the Philippines
• Project management experience with demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources
• Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellence
• Preferred experience in sustainable design, green building certification (LEED, BERDE), or innovative design methodologies
